Adult Learning for Advent

"Putting the Adult Christ into Christmas".

Based upon essays from Raymond Brown, we will look

at the 3 "Christmas" stories or infancy narratives that he sees

within the gospels. At least one story might surprise you! According

to Brown, " these appealing stories of Jesus birth and

early life are the entire gospel story in miniature.

In looking at these stories, both familiar and unfamiliar,

we will reflect on why Matthew and Luke included them in their

accounts of Jesus and what their significance is to the Christian

community – past, present and future.
