Something to do now that the holiday are over...put some dazzle in your week!

Beating the Winter Doldrums!

From Veteran’s Day until New Year’s Day, we are preoccupied with a multitude of activities, appointments, meetings, dinners, receptions and on and on.

Now, when it seems we would love to have a gathering – there isn’t anything to do! Days are short, there isn’t even any snow to entice the children outside!!

Arrange a progressive dinner or pot luck supper with friends! - Indoor entertaining can run the gamut from over the top courses held within a neighborhood to a chili feast during the weekend football game (Saturday night, 1/14 8pm could be a great time to do this one!!)

Or – do a daytime get together – play-date with a child’s friends and parents after a morning outside . . . who knows, the little ones might even take a nap and you can enjoy a mid-day adult gathering.

Who doesn’t love to go to the Science Museum – perhaps during the week, the local library may even have some tickets to offer at a discount! Take the train in for a treat - children love it!

Call your friends and set up a meeting at - Take a walk around the track, or choose a neighborhood  - walk and talk, exercise and socialize. What other ideas can you share?
