In a blog on Westwood Patch, Westwood Library Director Tom Viti says the opening of the new library is close.
“It won’t be long now,” Viti said, explaining that outside work on the site is making notable progress while inside work continues unabated.
The blog quotes Viti saying the trees are being planted and the lights and fencing installed.

According to the blog, "The most eye-catching sight, Viti says, is the progress being made on the former Colburn School as it is quickly rehabbed by Coffman Reality.
"Inside the new library, the air conditioning system is being ramped up and the staff is being trained on a new phone system as well as updated building safety procedures."

Even though the library is closed, Viti said in the blog that the branch library is open six days a week with extended hours.
