The Town of Westwood last week received about $94,000 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) as reimbursement for snow and ice removal after the blizzard that hit the area on January 11 and 12, officials said.

The town spent about $550,000 for snow and ice removal last winter; an original budget was set at $250,000 prior to the first storm and an additional amount of more than $210,000 was allocated at .

The exact amount of the reimbursement, $94,116, allows the town to fully cover the deficit from last year.
