Westwood DPW to Clear Broken Limbs on Roads This Week

So far this season, the DPW has completed removal of 105 stumps in Westwood.

The Westwood Department of Public Works has a busy week ahead. Residents can expect to see DPW crews on High Rock Street clearing broken tree limbs, and work is expected to be done on the town's athletic fields.

In addition to DPW normal activities, here's what will be happening this week in Westwood:

  • Crews will be clearing broken limbs along High Rock Street between Hartford Street and Dover Road, and have completed removal of 105 stumps in Westwood. Crews will complete filling the holes with loam and seed.
  • Crews will be sweeping the main streets this week.
  • As the weather permits, crews are working on the town's fields to prepare them for the upcoming spring athletic season.
  • If necessary, crews will be keeping the streets open with treatment and plowing as needed for snow and ice.
  • The street light contractor will be working to replace street lights that are out in town.
  • If you get a chance to drive through the cemeteries, please do. A lot of work has gone into making them beautiful.
