Westwood DPW Activity: June 4 - 8

Here's a peek at what the Westwood DPW has in store for this week.

In addition to the Westwood Department of Public Works' normal activities, you may see the following work the week of June 4:

  • The town sweeper will be working on main drags and both cemeteries throughout the week.
  • Crews will be tending to the PMC bike route.
  • Crews will be out maintaining cleaning all town owned properties and municipal buildings.
  • Buildings, fields and grounds crews will be out mowing and maintaining all athletic fields and preparing them each day for all afterschool programs.
  • The Highway Department will be working off of main roads cutting back brush with their roadside equipment.
  • Catch basin repairs will take place over the next few weeks at the corner at the corner of Spellman, University Ave and Forbes Road.
  • The street light contractor will continue working to replace street lights that are out.
  • If you get a chance to drive through the cemeteries, please do. A lot of work has gone into making them beautiful.
  • Veteran’s markers and foundations for stone deliveries will be installed this week in the cemetery.
