FinCom to Hold Initial 2012 Warrant Hearing Tonight

The first of two hearings will be held at Westwood High School at 7:30 p.m.

The Westwood Finance Commission will hold the first of two public hearings Monday night regarding the warrant articles to be brought before Town Meeting in May. 

The hearings are held each year to discuss the articles sponsored by the Westwood Board of Selectmen and Planning Board, and are meant to provide residents in town with the opportunity to give input. 

The dates of the hearings have been set as follows:

  • Monday, Feb. 27 - 7:30 p.m. at
    • Hearing will continue on Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 7:30 p.m. if needed.
  • Monday, March 26 - 7:30 p.m. at Westwood High School
    • Hearing will continue on Tuesday, March 27 at 7:30 p.m. if needed.

The Westwood Planning Board will be on hand to discuss 12 warrant articles, while the Board of Selectmen will discuss 28 articles (articles are listed in the attached PDF file). Articles to be discussed include the .

Westwood residents are encouraged to attend the hearings and participate with input. Following input from the boards and public, FinCom may vote their recommendations.
