DPW to Re-Mulch School Street Tot Lot This Week

Find out what else the DPW is up to in town this week.

The Westwood Department of Public Works has a busy week ahead. Residents can expect to see DPW crews on High Rock Street clearing broken tree limbs, and work is expected to be done on the town's athletic fields.

In addition to DPW normal activities, here's what will be happening this week in Westwood:

  • We will continue sweeping the main streets this week.
  • Asphalt crews will be out tending to any potholes and patch work
  • As the weather permits, crews are working on the town's fields to prepare them for the upcoming spring season.
  • On March 7-8, crews will be installing new play bark mulch at the School Street Tot Lot. The Lot will be closed from March 6-8 and will re-open Friday March 9.
  • If necessary, crews will be keeping the streets open with treatment and plowing as needed for snow and ice.
  • The street light contractor will continue working to replace street lights that are out.
  • If you get a chance to drive through the cemeteries, please do. A lot of work has gone into making them beautiful.

The Westwood DPW has also issued the following reminders for residents during the winter months:
