Dover Road Closed Today Through Friday

The road construction season is well under way in the town of Westwood and will continue through Labor Day, say town officials. 

This work will result in delays, detours, and some road closures (like Dover Road on July 24 to July 26). 

“Our season takes place after school is out and before school comes back into session; it’s beneficial for us to do it during this timeline,” said Todd Korchin, Director of Public Works. “We’ve hit our targets, we’re ahead of pace and should be in good shape.” 

The remaining construction schedule (subject to changes which will be reflected on Patch) include:

Milling/Drainage & Infrastructure Work/Paving:

• Gay Street  (from High St. to Thatcher St.)
• Deerfield Avenue
• Hartford Street  (from Mayfair Dr. to Town line)
• Burgess Avenue
• Youngs Road
• Milk Street
• Fisher Street at Short Street
• Woodland Road
• Oriole Road
• Sunrise Road
• Beechnut Road
• Linden Road
• Robin Road 

Traffic Calming

• High Rock Street
• Dover Road
• Conant Road

Drainage/Sewer Work

• Pond Plain Road
• Greenacre Road
• Edgewood Road

*Various detours will be set up for all the roads affected by the construction work. This work is on-going and scheduled up to Labor Day.
