Catrone Reappointed as Westwood Conservation Specialist

For the better part of a decade, Karon Skinner Catrone has held her role with the Westwood Conservation Commission.

The Westwood Conservation Commission reappointed Karon Skinner Catrone to another year as the town's official Conservation Specialist at a meeting on Wednesday, June 23.

Joseph Previtera, Commission Chairman, made the motion to hold Catrone at her spot for another year, and all Commission members approved the motion. Catrone has held the role for the last six years.

In her role, Catrone will continue to enforce the Wetland Protection Act in Westwood, as well as enforce the Town of Westwood's Wetlands Bylaw (Article 18).

The Commission's mission is to essetially protect the town's natural resources, and works to regulate work in or near wetlands and river resource areas, according to the Westwood Town Hall website.
