Westwood Teen Leads Police on Chase from South Boston to Burlington

Massachusetts State Police arrested David C. Pare, 19, of Westwood after a highway chase last night.

A in a stolen motor vehicle from South Boston to Burlington before crashing into a Jersey barrier last night.

According to the Massachusetts State Police at approximately 9:30 p.m. last night troopers from the Massachusetts State Police received a report from the Boston police of a stolen motor vehicle that had fled a traffic stop on L Street in South Boston.

Troopers from the Massachusetts State Police barracks in Boston located the stolen vehicle on William Day Boulevard and attempted to stop the vehicle. The operator refused to stop and a motor vehicle pursuit ensued.

The pursuit traveled on Route 93 northbound to Route 128 southbound. Troopers deployed a tire deflation device on Route 128 in Burlington which deflated the suspect vehicle tire's and the vehicle was stopped.

The driver was taken into custody.

The suspect is identified as David C. Pare, 19, of Westwood. Pare will be booked at the State Police barracks in South Boston on charges related to the stolen motor vehicle and his failure to stop for police. There are no current reports of injuries.

At least one state police cruiser received damage during this pursuit.
