Westwood Police Log: Xaverian Student Robbed on Clapboardtree Street [UPDATED]

The following information was obtained from the Westwood Police Department.

Westwood Police are investigating a reported assault of a 15-year-old student of that occurred last Wednesday.

Police received report of the incident at around 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14, when the student was reportedly walking on Clapboardtree Street away from campus en route towards the MBTA train station. It was then that a group of youths, ranging in age from 16 to 18 years old, confronted the student.

The group of youths, whom police said were not students at Xaverian, reportedly took $30 from the Xaverian student.

UPDATE (Sept. 21, 1:30 p.m.): Uniformed patrols have been stepped up in the area, police said, so as to ensure public safety. 

Police have one individual whom they identified as being involved in the incident, and that person will be held accountable, police said.

The matter remains under investigation.
