Lucky again there wasn't a pedestrian that happened to be walking through when this happened... I know this has been discussed in the past, but is there any current plan to address this? Who is accountable for this hazard to our residents?

Fully agree with WW Resident. Seems like every three months there's another story with this bridge with sometimes outcomes obviously worse than a little minor damage. Certainly drivers need to be accountable for their actions and knowing truck height, but that bridge is so low and narrow that it is dangerous especially for people driving rentals and otherwise unaccustomed to driving larger trucks. SOMETHING should be done more than a simple sign. Certainly the bridge isn't going to be raised or widened but more sophisticated warning signs or systems would be prudent before we gather as a community and mourn the death of a pre-schooler.

Thanks for the input, WW Resident and Parker - really great points. I have not heard or seen any plan in place as of yet, but I will definitely look into it and provide readers with any updates. Thanks again!

Hey there! Just an update on this - I spoke with Westwood Police last week about the issue and a bit of history on the accidents in the area. I've got a story coming in the next day or two that hopefully will add some color to the matter. And of course I'm more than open to thoughts and input!!
