Westwood Police Log: Tents Found Behind Buchanan Fireplace

A Hidden Campground

June 23, 6:55 p.m. - Westwood Police received a report from on Providence Highway that two males were allegedly living in tents behind the building's property.

Police responded to the area and determined that the tents were set up well into the woods on state-owned land. The Massachusetts Department of Public Works was notified of the issue.

Driver Cited After Two-Car Accident

June 24, 9:41 a.m. - Police responded to the area of High Street and Nahatan Street after receiving reports of a two-car accident involving a 2004 Jeep and a 2010 Honda.

Upon arrival police determined that the Honda was traveling east on High Street and stopped to leave a space for turning vehicles. The Jeep then struck the Honda from behind. 

Police cited the driver of the Jeep for driving without a license, and the Jeep was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.
