Westwood Police Log: Stolen Powerball Tickets

The following information was provided by the Westwood Police Department. When arrests are mentioned they do not indicate convictions.

Wednesday, November 28

Stolen Lottery Tickets (5:34 p.m.) - The attendant at the Shell gas station on Providence Hwy. reported that someone may have taken Powerball tickets when another customer had placed them on the counter while counting change. The surveillance video is being reviewed by police.

Motor Vehicle Stop (1:27 a.m.) - An officer stopped a motor vehicle near the intersection of Providence Hwy. and Carroll Ave. and issued a summons to the driver for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, operating a motor vehicle with an expired registration and not having a physical license.

Arrest (10:30 a.m.) - During a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Washington St. and Waldo Way, Sean Maher, 28, of Norwood was arrested on a probation warrant out of Quincy District Court. The company that owns the truck was also issued a summons for being unregistered, uninsured and not having an inspection.
