Westwood Police Log: Stolen Copper, Graffiti Found

Copper Taken from Site

Aug. 25, 1:56 p.m. - A contractor who had been working on renovations at a home on Thatcher Street reported to police that copper had been stolen from the construction site.

Specifically, about two dozen copper roofing panels were taken from the property, with a total estimated value of about $500.

The matter is under investigation.

Vandalism on Longmeadow Drive

Aug. 29, 11:25 a.m. - Police responded to a Longmeadow Drive home after receiving reports that someone had used spray paint to paint various words on the garage door of the house.

One of the images was a dollar sign, police said.

The matter is under investigation.
