Westwood Police Log: Quincy Man Arrested, Local Driver Cited

Police filed a criminal complaint against a local driver, then arrested an out-of-town resident on a warrant.

Tuesday, July 13

12:58 a.m. - Westwood Police conducted a motor vehicle stop just before 1 a.m. on Tuesday, July 13. Police subsequently issued a criminal complaint against the driver of a 2010 Honda Odyssey, according to reports.

The man, who was stopped near Washington Street and Marshall Street, received the complaint for operating a vehicle with a suspended driver's license, as well as a red light violation. He was also cited for attaching, to his car, license plates that belonged to the vehicle of another party.

1:37 p.m. - Later that day, Westwood Police arrested a Quincy resident on Clapboardtree Street for a number of outstanding warrants. 

After responding to the area, police arrested Stephen Durette, Jr., 47, of 98 Butler St. in Quincy. Durette was arrested for a number of outstanding warrants issued out of Quincy District Court.
