Westwood Police Log: Pot Found at Xaverian Dance, Safety Sign Stolen

Bag of Pot Found at Dance 

Sept. 30, 8:21 p.m. - A Westwood Police officer working detail at a dance came across an abandoned bag containing a "green leafy substance" that smelled and looked like marijuana. 

The bag, which reportedly contained .28 ounces of pot, was found behind a trash can near the entrance to the school's football field.

'Kid at Play' Sign Stolen on Dean Street

Oct. 1, 3:52 p.m. - A resident of Dean Street reported to police that a safety sign warning drivers of children on the road was taken during the overnight hours.
