Westwood Police Log: Mother-in-Law Problems

The following information was provided by the Westwood Police Department. When arrests are mentioned there is no indication of convictions.


Thursday, November 22

Unlicensed (1:14 a.m.) - A motor vehicle stop at Providence Hwy. and Southwest Park ended with a criminal summons for a 21-year-old from Norwood for driving with a suspended license. The passenger in the vehicle had a valid license, so he was allowed to drive the car away.

One Light Lit (10:52 p.m.) - A Carroll Ave. resident called to report that a vehicle with just one headlight on was driving very slowly down the street. An officer was dispatched, but was unable to locate the vehicle.

Argument (7:52 a.m.) - Officers were called to Everett St. in response to a dispute between Sunshine Maids and their manager.

Move 'Em Out (1:31 p.m.) - Officers received a request from Hale Reservation to assist in getting rid of a fishing boat. Hale called back a short while later and said assistance was no longer needed. The call was all cleared.

Saturday, November 24

Mother-in-Law (10:18 a.m.) - A Mill St. resident filed a report in which he claimed being harassed by his mother-in-law.

Arrest (5:09 p.m.) - Steven Walsh, 20, of Roslindale was arrested on a probation warrant out of Dedham District Court.
