Westwood Police Log: Misplaced Jewelry, Driver Cited for Speeding

The following information was supplied by the Westwood Police Department.

June 7, 11:46 a.m. - Westwood Police received a report from a Canton Street resident that jewelry was found to have been missing in the home. 

Upon investigation, it was thought that a subcontractor working at the home was a person of interest. The homeowner, however, was able to locate the jewelry in the confines of the home, police said. 

June 7, 6:16 p.m. - Police issued a criminal summons to the driver of a 1999 Black Mustang for speeding along Clapboardtree Street, according to reports.

The car was stopped after it was clocked traveling at 55 miles per hour in a 30 m.p.h. zone, police said.

In addition to the summons related to speeding, the driver was also issued a summons for driving with a suspended driver's license and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
