Westwood Police Log: Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant, Four Car Accidents in Less than Two Hours

The Westwood Police Department provided the following information. Patch prints all arrests. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

July 18

8:47 a.m.: Police responded to a call of a burglary at Stevens Circle.

12:49 p.m.: Another burglary was reported on Partridge Dr.

12:50 p.m.: Police responded to a call of larceny on Longwood Dr. According to Detective Paul Tolland of the Westwood Police Department, police were called to Clark House in relation to property reported missing. An officer spoke to family member, and the police determined there was no criminal intent to the incident.

4:29 p.m.: An outstanding warrant led to the arrest of an 18-year-old. Nicholas Babini, of 71 Strafford in Westwood, was arrest as a result of a warrant out of Dedham District Court.

July 19

8:59 a.m.: A car accident was reported on the East St. Rotary. A vehicle was struck from behind in the rotary, with one driver transported to the Norwood Hospital with a complaint of pain.

9:53 a.m.: Another accident was reported on the East St. Rotary. No injuries reported.

10:28 a.m.: A car accident at High St. resulted in no injuries.

10:36 a.m.: A fourth car accident occurred on Washington St. No injuries were reported. 

July 20

4:25 p.m.: Suspicious activity was reported on Forbes Rd. and Cushing Rd. According to police, the call was an erratic operator, who eventually traveled into Canton, where the Canton Police Department responded.

5:22 p.m.: A car accident was reported on High St. and Church St. No injuries were reported.
