Westwood Police Log: File Cabinet Fire

The following information was provided by the Westwood Police Department. When arrests are mentioned there is no indication of convictions.

Saturday, November 17

Shed Break-in (10:43 a.m.) - Police were called to Membership Beach at Hale Reservation where a storage shed that isn't used much in the winter had been broken into. A metal file cabinet had been opened inside the shed and a fire had been started inside the drawer, but the individual who lit the fire contained it to the drawer, and only some papers were burned. Nothing of value was taken.

Suspicious Activity (6:47 p.m.) - A security guard reported some suspicious activity near the Route 128 rest stop.

Road Rage (7:51 p.m.) - A person on Wilson Way told an officer working a detail about a road rage incident that had happened about an hour earlier. The person said she had been in Dedham Sq. and a dark SUV was tailgating her as she drove to Westwood. When her car was stopped, she said a man got out and pointed a gun at her.

Coming & Going (10:50 p.m.) - A caller from Croft Regis Rd. reported a lot of noise in the area. It appeared to stem from many cars coming and going from a residence.
