Westwood Police Log: Craigslist Scam, Jewelry Theft, and a Home Burglary

A resident reports an online scam, another reports missing jewelry, and another's home was burglarized.

April 22, 6:37 p.m. - A High Street resident entered the Westwood Police Department to report an alleged scam on Craiglist.org involving Western Union money orders. 

Westwood Police determined that the scam had not yet been perpetrated, although it had been attempted. The matter remains under investigation. 

April 25, 9:58 a.m. - A resident of Mayfair Drive reported to police that a quantity of jewelry had gone missing from their home. No forced entry was made to the home, police said. The matter is currently under investigation.

April 25, 6:27 p.m. - Westwood Police responded to a residence on High Street after receiving reports of a burglary there. 

Upon arrival, police discovered entry had been made to the home from the rear entrance, and it was detected that a large jar of change was stolen from the residence. The matter is still under investigation, and inventory of the home is still being conducted.
