Westwood Police Log: Counterfeit Money, Teen Causes Disturbance

Roche Bros. reports a counterfeit bill, and police issue a summons for a teen with alcohol.

April 20, 12:06 p.m. - Westwood Police received a report from Roche Bros. supermarket on Washington Street that a counterfeit $20 bill had been used at the store.

Police ceased the bill and forwarded to the U.S. Secret Service. The matter remains under investigation. 

April 21, 12:40 a.m. - Police responded to the neighborhood of Sunrise Road after receiving reports of a noise disturbance in the area.

Upon arrival, police made contact with an 18-year-old male from Dedham, who was in possession of alcohol at the time. The teen was criminally summonsed to court for the offense, police said.
