Westwood Police Log: Check Bounces, Intruder Found in Vehicle

Check Bounces at Westwood Gulf 

Oct. 31, 10:38 a.m. - Westwood police received a report from the station on High Street that a customer had written a check for $75 with insufficient funds. 

The customer, police said, later returned to the gas station and made restitution with the station's owner.

Individual Spotted Intruding in Car

Oct. 31, 3:56 p.m. - A resident of Carroll Avenue reported to police that a young male had been spotted half way inside a parked vehicle in the neighborhood.

Police were able to make contact with the alleged intruder on Providence Highway. Upon discussion, the individual denied doing anything wrong. No arrests were made.
