Westwood Police Log: Car Break-Ins

The following information was provided by the Westwood Police Department. When an arrest is mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

On the morning of Friday, October 12, the Westwood Police Department received a little more than half a dozen calls reporting motor vehicle break-ins overnight.

The break-ins were reported from anytime between early in the morning to early in the afternoon. They occurred in the neighborhood of Tamarack Rd., Alder Rd. and Oak St. All of the vehicles had been left unlocked overnight, and mostly just loose change was taken, so it appears that the person responsible may have simply tried door handles at random to find out which ones (s)he could enter.

This matter is under investigation by the Westwood Police Department.
