Westwood Police Log: Burglary, Fraud

The following information was provided by the Westwood Police Department. When an arrest is mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, September 10

Burglary (12:06 p.m.) - A Clapboardtree St. resident called to report that their home had been broken into. The caller waited outside until officers arrived. A side entrance had a large hole in it. It was possibly kicked in. Officers looked around the house and noticed that the cabinets and bedrooms had been searched through. A laptop and some jewelry had been taken.

Fraudulent Activity (7:40 p.m.) - A Woodland Rd. resident reported that a merchant account had been set up online in his name with a credit line of $10,000. The account used inconsistent information, which had helped Intuit catch the activity and deny it.
