Neighbor Spots Intruder on Washington Street

July 9, 12:53 p.m. - responded to a Washington Street residents to speak with a resident who indicated that a neighbor had seen someone attempting to enter an apartment on the street through a bedroom window 

The matter was reported one hour before police were notified. Upon arrival, police determined that no entry was made to the home, and access had been attempted through a window that had an exterior screen that appeared to be damaged.

The matter is under investigation. 

Biker Stopped on Oak Street

July 10, 6:30 p.m. - Police stopped a 2007 Honda motorcycle on Oak Street after a resident requested police respond to a blue bike that had been speeding towards .

Police were able to catch up with the motorcyclist and stopped the bike. The operator received a criminal summons for operating an unregistered and uninsured vehicle, improper operation of a motor vehicle, and non-compliant after-market lighting. 

The after-market lighting included blue LED lights on the front of the bike.

The bike was towed from the scene.
