Westwood Police Log: 3 Counts of Sleeping in a Car

The following information was provided by the Westwood Police Department. When an arrest is mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, October 31

Vandalism (11:05 a.m.) - A Sandy Valley Rd. resident reported that their mailbox had been damaged.

Harrassment (1:59 p.m.) - Police received a call from Sycamore Dr. with a report that a homeowner was harrassing an NSTAR crew. An officer arrived and spoke with both parties.

Thursday, November 1

Suspicious Activity (12:51 a.m.) - A caller from Pond St. reported a man sitting in a van in a parking lot. An officer checked and found that the occupant was a worker taking a break.

Suspicious Activity (6:51 a.m.) - A resident of Carroll Ave. reported a suspicious red Honda Civic driving down the street. The vehicle had white rims.

Sleeping in Vehicle (7:01 a.m.) - A caller reported that there was a vehicle in a handicapped space at the middle school and there may be someone asleep in the car. The vehicle was gone when an officer arrived to check it out.

Fraud (9:48) - A High St. resident reported credit card fraud. There was an online purchase on their account that they didn't make. A report was filed.

People in Car (6:32 p.m.) - A caller reported that there was a car parked in the Westwood Lodge parking lot. The caller stated that they could see a male and female laying on top of each other in the car. An officer was dispatched and found that the people were waiting for a friend to be discharged from the hospital.
