Westwood Man Arrested After High-Speed Chase Through Boston

The driver who led police on a chase from Boston to Burlington is in custody.

A 19-year-old Westwood man was arrested Sunday night after allegedly driving a stolen vehicle and being pulled over in South Boston, according to a report on Boston.com.

A motorist led police on a high speed chase from Boston to Burlington that ended when the stolen SUV he was driving hit a wall, according to a report on WHDH.com.

David Pare, 19, of Westwood, was arrested after fleeing the scene in the vehicle; Massachsuetts state troopers were called to assist in the pursuit, which led down Rte. 128. During the chase, the man reportedly hit at least three police cruisers.

Police laid down a spike strip and were able to blow the two front tires, according to WHDH.com. The man continued to drive on the rims for some time before losing control and crashing into a Jersey barrier near exit 32.

The man was taken to the South Boston police barracks where he was booked on multiple charges. There have been no reports of injuries stemming from this incident.
