Two Arrested For Breaking and Entering

The Westwood Police Department provided the following information. 

In the early morning hours of April 23, 2013 Westwood Police investigated a report o fa suspicious man walking in the Warwick Drive neighborhood. Police responded and were able to determine that a number of parked, unlocked vehicles were entered in the Warwick Drive and surrounding neighborhoods.

While checking the area, Officers were approached by several other residents informing them that their unlocked cars had been entered and items stolen. As Police continued to check the area, they encountered a suspicious vehicle occupied by two males. Upon investigation, it was determined the two men were in possession of several items that had been stolen from the parked cars in the neighborhood. They were both placed under arrest and charged with Breaking and Entering into motor vehicles and Receiving Stolen Property. The two men were identified:

(1) Jamie Lechiaro 122 Islington Road Auburndale, MA Age: 20.
(2) Michael Amendola 3 Pond Avenue Newton, MA Age: 21

There are a number of items recovered by the Westwood Police that are still unclaimed. Residents that may have had their vehicles entered during the early morning hours of April 23, 2013 may go to the Westwood Police Station and view the unclaimed property.
