State Police, FBI Conducting Search at Buckmaster Pond

State Police dive teams were spotted searching Buckmaster Pond in a federal investigation Wednesday.

Massachusetts State Police dive crews were seen searching the area at Buckmaster Pond Wednesday, according to Westwood Police.

A spokesperson for the State Police had no additional information regarding the incident, and Westwood Police were told to defer comments to the Boston Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

"All I can tell you is that the FBI is searching the pond," said Damon Katz, an agent with the FBI Boston division.

Reports indicate that it was the second consecutive day the dive crews were spotted at the pond. What's more, further unconfirmed reports indicate that agents from the FBI's Miami Division were helping in the search.

Katz said the search is in relation to a federal investigation, but would not provide further details on the matter, or explain why agents and State Troopers were searching the area.
