Sharps Collection Now at Westwood Town Hall

Sharps containers can be deposited into collection kiosks at Westwood Town Hall and the Westwood Fire Department's Islington station.

The Westwood Board of Health announced this week that it has moved one of its sharps collection units to .  

Residents can obtain approved sharps containers free of charge during at the Board of Health Office, Town Hall, or at the . 

Needles, lancets and syringes are all considered sharps, and all such items must be placed in approved containers for proper disposal, the BOH said.

Lids to sharps containers must be securely closed and deposited at the collection Kiosks at Westwood Town Hall on High Street or at the on Washington Street. 

Residents must not place any other types of containers into the kiosks, and large containers cause the kiosks to malfunction
