Police Logs: Fight at Westwood Lodge Hospital

Tuesday, May 15

10:22 a.m. - Resident in the neighborhood of Forbes Road complained of a dog barking in the area. The animal control officer identified and notified the owner.

6:35 p.m. - A Westwood Lodge Hospital patient called to file a report of harassing phone calls. Officers spoke to the patient and the staff worker and a report was filed on the matter.

Thursday, May 17

4:21 p.m. - Officer initiated a motor vehicle stop for an expired inspection sticker on Washington Street and East Street. The driver had an expired license and citation was issued. A licensed passenger drove the vehicle away.

6:48 p.m. - A motor vehicle was stopped for red light violation stop. Driver was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Newbury District court for operating a vehicle after license suspension.

 

Friday, May 18

9:45 a.m. - A vehicle observed failed to come to complete stop at red light on Nahatan Street. Cited driver for not having a license, car towed, criminal summons issued.

3:06 p.m. - Officers filed a report from patient on staff member fight at Westwood Lodge Hospital. The patient did not want to be placed in restraints as a result of bad behavior prior to the fight. The patient was eventually restrained and once peace was restored the police were called to be made aware of the event. There were no visible injuries on the staff member but they had complaints of pain.

 

Saturday, May 19

2:35 p.m. - A resident of Sycamore Street reported someone stole a Weed Wacker out of his garage. The investigation is on going.

 

Sunday 20

12:37 a.m. - An officer on patrol was behind a vehicle driving below a speed considered reasonable. The driver crossed the double yellow line on High Street and the officer hit the lights. The driver was unlicensed, the vehicle was towed, and the officer issued a criminal citation to the driver.
