Police Log: Two Warrant Arrests at Budget Inn, Larceny

The Westwood Police Department Provided the following information.

Monday, Feb. 11

9:51 a.m.: Officers received a request for a well-being check at the Budget Inn. Police who responded determined two people had outstanding warrants. Officers arrested Rachel MacKenzie, 30, who listed the Budget Inn as her residence on an outstanding warrant. Officers also arrested Lawrence Parnell, 38, from 475 Liberty Street in Rockland on two outstanding warrants.

2:21 p.m.: Officers received a report of a stolen cell phone. A caller had gone into CVS and left his cell phone mistakenly on a counter. He tracked it through a tracking program to a female in a nearby store. Officers served her a summons for larceny over $250.

1:42 p.m.: Officers received a report of an injured duck. The animal was not injured when Animal Control arrived.
