Police Log: Three Arrested for Forgery of a Check
The following information was provided by the Westwood Police Department. Charges do not necessarily indicate a conviction.
Wednesday, Dec. 26
9:24 a.m.: There were no injuries after a motor vehicle accident on High Street, during which a 2005 Chevy rear-ended a 2013 Nissan.
11:51 a.m.: Officers arrested three people after the Needham Bank on Washington Street in Westwood received a forged check.

Officers arrested Derek Garner, 24, from 1800 Soldiers Field Road in Brighton, Calvin Thomas, 24, from 45 Adanac Road in Milton and Jahmeilla Tresvant, 18, from 102 Devon Street in Dorchester. All three people were charged with uttering a false check and forgery of a check.
4:48 p.m.: A purse was taken from a vehicle on Providence Highway that had an open window. The purse was not recovered.
