Regarding the head-on collision on East Street, I wonder if this was really at the East Street bridge? There are only two places on East Street where there is any curbing: the Route 1 overpass (a nice wide area) and the East Street bridge (a narrow, unsafe area). Are the Police being told to not report East Street bridge accidents as being at the bridge and instead just report the road only? After all, we wouldn't want to highlight the Selectmen's Office inaction on that, would we? Just wondering!

Is that where the strange traffic light situation is? I have only been in the town for a short time but have seen several almost accidents there when cars thought they had a green light because of one light but it was actually red. Very poor traffic flow design! It needs to be fixed.

KAS, you may be thinking of the lights at the railroad bridge by Washington Street, Clapboardtree Street, Upland Road (a portion of Rt. 1A) and Everett Street.
