Police Log: Car Vandalized, Norwood Man Arrested for DUI

One Scratched Hummer
Dec. 26, 4:33 p.m. - An Arcadia Road resident reported to police that someone had scratched the side of his Hummer through the paint down to the metal.
The incident appeared to have happened sometime overnight on Christmas into the following day.
Drunk Driving on Rte. 1
Dec. 30, 11:45 p.m. - arrested a Norwood man on Friday for driving drunk on Providence Highway near Glacier Drive.
Robert Ferris, 28, of 401 Buckminster Dr. in Norwood, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation and speeding, police said.
Police stopped Ferris on Providence Highway after determining that his car had been traveling at a high rate of speed.
