Police Log: Break-in at Islington Community Center, Damage Resident's Basement Window

Islington Community Center B&E 

Nov. 28, 6 a.m. - Westwood Police received a report that someone had broken into the during the overnight hours and took a desktop computer from the building, as well as some juice boxes.

The suspect, police said, also vandalized part of the property, having discharged a fire extinguisher and damaged door knobs.

The matter is under investigation. 

Basement Windows at Home Damaged

Nov. 28, 12:17 p.m. - Police received a report that the basement windows of a home on Schaefer Avenue had been damaged at some point during the previous week. 

Specifically, two adjacent window panes had been kicked in from the outside of the home, police said.

No entry was gained to the home, nor was anything taken from inside. 

Extra checks of the area were requested and the matter remains under investigation.
