Police Log: Assault and Battery Arrest, Car Crash
The following information was requested by Patch and provided by the Westwood Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.
Saturday, Jan. 6
12:55 a.m.: Officers issued a criminal summons to a 47-year-old from Jamaica Plain for driving with a suspended registration.
3:34 p.m.: A driver was transported to Norwood hospital after a motor vehicle accident. The vehicle was in the left hand lane traveling southbound on Providence Highway when the vehicle struck a granite curb causing a blowout. The vehicle lost control and struck a guard rail.

4:06 p.m.: Officers arrested Michelle Ruggero, 23, from 145 Blue Hill drive in Westwood on a warrant for assault and battery.
