Police Log: Assault and Battery
The following information was provided by the Westwood Police Department at the request of Patch.
Friday, Jan. 4
10:52 a.m.: A Westwood residnet was taken to Dedham District Court for abusing alcohol and drugs. He was examined by the court psychologist and was determined to be in need of assistance. He was transported to a nearby treatment facility.
2:36 p.m.: There were no injuries reported after a motor vehicle crash on Clapboard Street. The crash was the result of a Jeep turning left and being struck in the rear by a BMW.

6:30 p.m.: A warrant was issued to a Blue Hill Drive resident for assault and battery. No injuries were reported the required medical attention.
