Police Issue Summons for Potential Heroin Possession

were engaged in a multi-jurisdictional investigation last week involving a party out of Westwood that was in possession of a Class A substance, or what was believed to be heroin, police said.  

The substance still needs to be brought to the drug lab for testing, Westwood Police said. As such, police issued a criminal summons issued to the party on Tuesday, Oct. 18, around 3:30 p.m. in the area of Porter Street. 

The belief that the substance is heroin was based on other paraphernalia found during the investigation.
