Police Investigating Two New Housebreaks on High Street
The break-ins occurred sometime between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday.
Nearly a month after Westwood Police , officers are now investigating two additional reports of housebreaks on the same road that took place on Monday, April 9.
The first of which occurred at a High Street residence, which was entered sometime between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Monday, Westwood Police said in a statement Wednesday morning. Jewelry had been removed from the home.
Close by, another High Street home was broken into and a stereo system was stolen, police said. That home was broken into during the same time frame, police believe.

"Residents are reminded to secure their homes upon their departure, which would include locking doors and securing ground level windows," Westwood Police said in a statement. "Any notations of suspicious activity should immediately be reported to the police by calling 9-1-1."
Specifically, any unknown parked vehicles in a driveway where it is known that the homeowners are absent should be reported to police, as should any instances of individuals walking around the perimeter of a home or exiting from a wooded area near a property carrying backpacks or other large items, police said.
