Police Break Up Underage Drinking Party

Westwood Police arrested one and charged several others for underage possession of alcohol after breaking up a house party on Sycamore Road early Sunday morning. 

Upon arrival to the home, shortly after midnight on Sunday morning, police arrested Sean Amaru, 18, of 69 Sycamore Dr. in Westwood and charged him with procuring alcohol for minors and being a person under the age of 21 in possession of alcohol, police said. 

The arrest came after police received a report of a noise disturbance on Sycamore Road. Upon arrival police determined that underage drinking was in play at the party, and that Amaru was left in control of the home at the time. 

A number of occupants at the home were also cited and will receive criminal summonses for being minors in possession of alcohol.
