Police Arrest Brockton, Mattapan Residents on Warrants

last week arrested a man from Brockton and another from Mattapan in separate incidents involving arrest warrants. 

On Monday, Nov. 7 at around 8:30 p.m., police arrested the Brockton resident during a motor-vehicle stop on East Street. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant for assault and battery and intimidation of a witness, police said. 

The arrest came after police conducted a query of the individual's license plate, and discovered the warrant out for his arrest.

On Tuesday, Nov. 8, police arrested a Mattapan resident on two outstanding warrants. He was arrested on warrants issued out of Quincy and Waltham. 

While police records did not indicate what the warrants were issue for, police did say Monday that man's arrest came after his vehicle was stopped in Westwood after a broadcast was issued by the Walpole Police Department relative to a shoplifting incident at a business in Walpole.

Westwood Police discovered the car matching the description around 4:21 on Nov. 8, and subsequently arrested the suspect on the aforementioned warrants, though the matter continues to be investigated to determine if the operators of that vehicle were involved in the Walpole incident.
