Officials Respond to Morning Crash with Jaws of Life

An early-morning accident on High Street prompted safety officials to respond with the Jaws of Life.

A one-car motor vehicle accident promptd Westwood Police and Fire officials to respond with the jaws of life Friday morning, police said.

The accident, involving a 2007 Toyota, took place on High Street near Summer Street. Police said initially, the jaws of life were considered to help extract the driver, however it was later determined that they were not needed, and the operator was pulled from the vehicle before being transported to Norwood hospital.

The accident took place around 9:03 a.m. Friday, and the scene was clear by 9:34, police said.
