Multi-Car Accident Causes Traffic Mess on Washington Street

No major injuries or damage were reported in the incident.

A car accident involving multiple cars caused a brief traffic mess on Washington Street Thursday morning.

Westwood Police and Fire departments rushed to the area of Washington Street between Hillview Road and Loring Street just before 9 a.m. on Thursday in response to an accident involving up to six vehicles, according to Westwood Police.

The accident appeared to be a chain-reaction of fender benders, Westwood Police said, and one person was taken to Norwood Hospital for minor injuries.

Two vehicles involved were towed from the scene, and reports indicated that a minivan involved had been leaking fluid, which was being cleaned with speedy dry. No major damage was reported.
