Jewel Thief Hits Canton Street Home

About 26 pieces of jewelry were taken from the home on March 30.

Westwood Police are investigating the break in of a Canton Street residence that was reported on March 30 at around 5:32 p.m.

While the owners of the home were away, an individual broke into the home and stole approximately 26 pieces of jewelry.

Police said entry to the home was made through a doorway off of a screened-in porch.

No dollar value of the stolen items was immediately available, as the items are still being inventoried, according to Westwood Police. The matter remains under investigation.
