Westwood Police arrested a Hanson man last week for driving under the influence of drugs.

Kenneth Suchecki, 34, of 85 Union St. in Hanson, was arrested on Monday, Nov. 21 around 10:23 p.m. in the parking lot of the gas station on High Street.

An employee of the gas station called police to report that someone had passed out in a Saturn that was parked in handicap space in the lot.

Upon arrival, police found Suchecki slumped over in the driver's side of the vehicle with scratch tickets in his right hand. When he awoke, the suspect was disoriented, police said, and it was believed that he was under the influence of an opiate.

Suchecki then failed a sobriety test and was placed under arrest before being taken to Dedham District Court. He was not charged with possession of drugs, police said.
