Dunkin Donuts Hit With Attempted Robbery

A suspected armed robber attempted to steal from the Dunkin Donuts on Washington Street Friday night.

A white male made an attempt to rob the Dunkin Donuts on Washington Street in Westwood early Friday night, Westwood Police said.

The incident took place on Friday at about 8:36 p.m., when police were dispatched to the coffee shop after receiving a report that the male, who was described as being about six feet tall and in his early 20s, passed a note to the cashier that indicated he had a weapon and demanded the cash from the register. 

The man was also described as wearing a dark blue or black-colored jacket, and despite the attempted robbery, police said he left the shop without any money.

No one was injured during the incident, and the matter is under investigation, pending further review of security footage inside the store, police said.
